Back in Berkeley

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

For those interested, I am back in Berkeley (and sitting at the bar of Bobby G’s).

I managed not to lose much ground running.  I finished 6.8 miles this afternoon at a much faster rate than in Oak Ridge since it is relatively flat along the route here.  My new plan is to run the Big Sur half marathon in November and then the full marathon in Winnipeg this spring.

Now, I have to find some place to continue the ballroom dancing…  Speaking of which, I’ll post pics from the place in Knoxville sometime soon.

6.1

6.1 Miles!  .4 more to go on Thursday.  But I totally ran off a curve in a nasty way and injured my knee right at the end.  But, I could still dance this evening; so, I should be good.

Saturday nights’ party and after party almost make this whole having to go to Oak Ridge thing worthwhile.  Now I have people to miss, though… Crap.

One Week Left

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Since I was out dancing Friday/Saturday, I just got a chance to watch the entire Beijing Opening Ceremony.  Wow.

On my friday run, I managed to get up to 5.7 miles.  I want to reach 6.5 miles (1/4 marathon) by the time I go back to Berkeley.  Which is two weeks away; I have one week left in Oak Ridge and then I am going to Charleston for a day and then to Florida for a few days.
